Roos Verlinden: a glorious mix of down-to-earth and romantic writing
Modern novels. No dramatic tragedy. About liberated men and women. About people in their 40s and 50s finding love again. Relaxing novels which feed your soul. Books that show that life experience, happiness and determination are ingredients for a contented life.

Biography
I was born in 1947 en grew up in the north-west of Holland. In those days there was a lot of nature. Green meadows and streams edged with reed. This is where my love for open skies, birds and the outdoors started.
I went to school in Amsterdam and stayed there to train as a physiotherapist. After a happy student life with my boyfriend, we married and settled back in the country. I worked as a physiotherapist in hospitals, taught on nursing courses and translated and drafted medical books for scientific publishers. And I got divorced…
My second husband came with a daughter who grew up with us. By this time I was writing fiction. Initially for myself but as I neared 50, I began writing for others. I successfully made my debut in 1999 with “Yes, a thousand times yes” and “The second husband” published by Gottmer in Haarlem.
Writing became a passion. I have had a book published every year! The Dutch skies, countryside and the north sea coast are still great loves of my life. Just as long distance walking, yoga, philosophising, good food and much, much more.
